IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENTS
*** NEW THEATER TOUR & LIMITED EDITION LIVE ALBUM ***
(update Sept. 16, 2009)
After a two-week tour in Germany, Racoon is back home on familiar turf. Time to rest up a bit and recharge the batteries !
We're really looking forward to September 23rd and the reprise of our "Before You Leave" theater tour in Holland.
Picking up where we left off last fall, we do have a nice little extra to add to this tour:
We can proudly announce the release of a 'limited edition' live album, with special packaging, that will only be available at the upcoming theater shows. Because we're more than happy with the end result, we've decided to release the recordings of an entire theater show onto a double-CD. To enjoy as a whole or to pick out your favorite tracks ! The perfect way to re-live the show in the comfort of your own home (or car).
Alongside newly arranged versions of well-known and lesser-known Racoon songs and even a few cover songs, this double disc also features 'Rudest Behaviour', a previously unreleased Racoon song that we no longer wanted to keep to ourselves.
You can already listen to this new song and get a taste for the rest of the tour and album in the 'listen' section of the widget above. Enjoy !
For concert tickets for the upcoming tour, we gladly refer to the official ticket outlets (see the links under 'tickets'). A few shows have already sold out but you're bound to still get some tickets for another show in your area. See you there !
Cheers!
Racoon
*** Gearing up for Germany
More Racoon dates announced for September
Hey Germany !
We want to thank all of you for the big welcome and support we received last year while touring with Minor Majority and The Lemonheads.
We had such a blast that we just had to come back! And September seemed like a good time to do so.
Racoon will perform 12 concerts across the country. We’re kicking off the tour on September 3rd at The Prinzenbar in Hamburg and wrapping up at the Bakuda Club in Dortmund on September 14th with several stops along the way. So you’re bound to find a show near you.
Named after our brand new single “My Town”, this tour is dedicated to all the fans out there, who’ve helped us put together the unique video for this song. Your input and footage were both endearing and invaluable. We couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re also excited to present Racoon’s first-ever tour widget with music, video, tour dates and more. A cool gadget for brightening up your Facebook, MySpace, blog or website, while helping us to spread the word about these shows. It’s totally free and it’s here for you to grab and share.
And last but not least: we’ve heard from many fans the last few days, with many of you reporting difficulties trying to purchase tickets. We're very sensitive to making the process of getting Racoon tickets as straightforward as possible, So, while we’re looking into getting this issue resolved, feel free to email us at management@racoon.nl if you’re experiencing any problems, and we’ll totally hook you up.
We’re definitely looking forward to seeing all of you out there again and hope to see a bunch of new faces too.
Today we were informed that My Town was added to the WDR2 playlist. WDR2 is one of the major radiostations in Germany.

***New single release, March 2nd
We've been talking about it for a while now... and the day has finally arrived.
March 2nd will see the official release not only of our new single "My Town" but also the very special My Town video that many of you have contributed to.
We had a lot of fun watching all of your movies and have tried to incorporate most of them.
So tune into our website or YouTube channel on March 2nd for an exclusive preview of the official video.
And find out if your town will soon be broadcast on TV as well !
A good part of the movies that were submitted are also featured in full on YouTube's Racoonchannel .
We want to thank you all once again for making this happen.
Meanwhile we're about to embark on the My Town club tour, which we'll kick off this Saturday in Zwolle.
Although that one has sold out, there are still a few tickets available for some of the other shows.
