Abandon August
Abandon August was born in late 2008, with a mantra of “keep it simple, but interesting.” Abandon August set their minds to write good songs and give better shows. Keeping with a feeling of telling a story and shedding light on the dark corners of the world with the intent of showing hope as a constant factor not something that runs out.
With their influences ranging from Live, to Cold, to The Gap Band, Abandon August, (now better known as AA) have strived to provide a unique spin on modern rock.
Sometimes dark and brooding and at other times plain out fun, AA delivers a sound that while cohesive, is very diverse.
AA believes music is about a song, not about how different or complicated that song can be made.
By January 11th 2009 AA had developed a small fan base, cut the first demos, and got the whirlwind experience of playing their first show to a packed house at Zydeco‘s.
The future is wide open for AA with a handful of shows lined up and hopes for more, better recordings.--------------
