In early 2001 - a roofer, a dishwasher, a farmer and a student - all from Lowell, Massachusettes decided that it was time to unleash a musical revolution upon the world! Joey (singer), Joeseph (drums), Joe Joe (guitars) and Joe (keyboards) created a sound unlike no other - they call this sound - Abandoned Sound .
The first release by Abandoned Sound was 'Experiments With Broken Glass'. While no actual 'glass' was used during the process of making this album, fans and the curious public seemed to latch on to the idea that this 'new music' could have been made using actual 'broken glass'. The album was written, performed, compiled and mixed sometime in 2002. It was "released" in early November of 2002.

After a 4-6 month tour (no one can recall how long it actually was) the boys were ready to get back into the studio. It had been a long, dizzying 4 or 6 months. Musical secretions were oozing from their pores. Weeks of sleepless nights became a regular habit. The follow-up album called Disruptive Adventures In Time reflects a dark time for the band. The music business monster had dug its filthy claws into the spine of everyone in the band that had a first name that began with the letter 'j'. Two top 600 songs, 1 Grimmy Music Award, record sales of over $3500 were reported to be desired, more would be better so send some money. You can buy this record for $10. What a deal!!! Photo shoots, and guest appearences were daily events

The second release by Abandoned Sound. The album was written, performed, compiled and mixed sometime in 2003 and "released" in 2003.
Inspiration for the album came from many places. Joeseph was caught up and addicted to corn husks. The hallucinations caused from his habit are said to have inspired the song 'A Tapestry Of Sound'. The song '2003' is said to be about the United States President George W. Bush (The Asshole). Most of the songs were written, produced and composed by JHead. Lyrics on "'Eastern Temple' were written by Joe Joe and performed by JHead.
Record sales for Disruptive Adventures In Time did not exceed those of Experiments With Broken Glass. The band fell into a slump soon after while vacationing in Mexico. Reports of Joe and Joey's extreme fighting and heavy drinking were reported back in the U.S. Joe soon entered rehab. Joey took up Yoga. Joeseph had a sex change and JHead began working on the next album.
Interviews and public appearances were rare but this photo of Joeseph and a clone of Oprah shows that the boys will still able to think about trying to make some cash.

It came as no surprise that this Vermont (USA) based quarted was on to something when they developed the sound-scape that eventually became known as It's All In Your Head (The Rebirth). After three long years of long hours, days, weeks and years Joe, Joey, Joe Joe and Joeseph had finally defined the formula for electronic mastery. Hit after hit, radio stations, music television stations, clubs and local taxi cabs played the dynamic delights that errupted from the bands finger tips during a year of touring trailer parks and local zoos.
The title of the album was originally going to be - It's All In Your Head. But, during one of Joe Joe and Joey's historic battles the original tracks that had been laid down were destroyed! Joe had spilled bright red nail polish on the master, Joe Joe (in a fit of rage) threw his hair dryer and makeup kit at Joey and it landed on the master as well! The original album had been destroyed, hence the additional words 'The Rebirth'.

Produced once again by jHead. 'Explosive Druid Sun' is what nearly landed the artists a top ten hit in both Europe and The United States. When the album exploded into the market in April of 2005 the band's popularity was 'out of control' as one anonymous self-titled groopie said in an interview with AltGrind Magazine in July of 2005. The band had never been stronger. World tours? Stadium gigs? Movie soundtracks? Award show headliners? What could be next for these four men from Shitzvill?
By this point Joe and Joey had been alcohol-free for nearly six weeks. Drug infested, overworked, underpaid the duo that nearly killed each other during 2003 'Disruptive Tour' - the two were at it again. This time Joe was demanding that he gets to name the next album and he wanted to be able to sing at least two solos (due out in 2008?)! Needless to say these were high demands for the lunitic keyboardist. Joey got mad, kicked Joe in the leg and both fell down scraping knees and elbows. The next three concerts were cancelled due to 'exhaustion'. The boys got their shit together and flew off to Amsterdam for the usual 'rest and relaxation'. The returned twenty-three days later even more fucked up then they were before they left.
