ABANG (MASE,RHK,CADAS)

About me:

Abang was born and raised in the metropolitan hustle and bustle of Jakarta. In early 2005, at the age of 12, he embarked upon his journey into a life of Graffiti culture. With the name "ABANG", he began creating tags and throw ups. Abang, in the essence of his soul, is just an ordinary teenager, who is passionate about street art, urban culture and living life to its fullest and expressing it through his virtuosic work. In November 2006, Abang began pursuing more advanced forms of 3D lettering and freestyle artwork. Abang founded Cadas Crew, a newbie group of graffiti artists who have different backgrounds in urban style art. Currently, CADAS Crew's members have disbanded, and gone to different countries such as Australia and Singapore to express themselves in a different cultural environment. In 2009, Abang became one of the members of MASE (Mad Artists Striking Existence), an extremely well known crew in the Jakarta graffiti scene, and also got invited to join a world wide crew which based in Germany called RHK (Rock Hard Kings). Abang has participated in exhibitions, such as Urbanize II which is organized by dothewhatnot and has also done advertising for Ketik Reg and CodeJava, two very popular advertizing agencies in Indonesian media, and Abang also got a chance to exhibit his artworks for Virus-K; Economical art exhibition and SMAN 82's event (a senior high local school). Symbols of Abangs presence come in the forms of “Hello my name is” stickers, and can be found throughout Cambodia, Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and may other countries.
