You name the band you'll most probably find them mentioned here. However Abba tribute bands need to be registered with the main web site to be featured as band members, along with picture slide shows, songs selection, video plays and gig lists.
Only the best of the best who give quality performances and have the audience stomping their feet, clapping their hands and chanting we want more!
Only the bands who can actually play live, sing live, have the audience believe and have their ABBA outfits looking as authentic as possible. Swedish accents are optional but not really necessary.
Only the bands who truely believe in what they do for a living (yes its their bread and butter), who truely believe in spreading the ABBA influence worldwide, love ABBA's music and get the world singing ABBA songs to aid world peace!
Only the Abba Tribute Bands where ever they may be in the world, whose egos are non existent, are genuine down to earth people who know if ABBA had not arrived on the music scene they'd be doing something else for a living.
There will be no warm welcome for the pretend pretenders, come day go day fly by nights and big egos who thought they could perform in an Abba tribute band then found they couldn't, but continue to do it anyway for the money, ruin the reputation of the genuine Abba tribute bands and give the word 'tribute' a bad name.

The meaning of 'Tribute' is: 'Something given, done, or said as a mark of respect or admiration'. 'Something that shows the merits of a particular quality of a person'. Other words that are used to describe 'tribute' are: Accolade, acknowledgement, applause, compliment, gratitude, honour, praise, recognition, respect, testimonial.
So no matter whether you are a group, band, duo or your style of music is pop, rock, acapella, folk, country, heavy metal, choir, or alternative, the goal is to put pride and honour back into the word 'tribute' once again.
Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide is incorporated with the ABBA News Service, ABBA Day and ABBA Weekend, Abba Tribute Weekend and a number of forums available on myspace.com where you can chat about and discuss a wide range of subjects on ABBA and related projects. New web sites for each of thses pages will be re-launched during June 2008 so watch out for updates plus the exciting new web site Tribute Heaven featuring other groups and artists coming very soon to your desk top!
This site also covers the Abba Tribute Weekend and you will find a number of slide shows featured that tell the story of the Abba Tribute Weekend and the bands that have taken part so far. PLUS slide shows on other international bands and artists who have covered ABBA songs, along with theatre shows, musicals and films that have ABBA connections and music.
The Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide members slide show features several bands that are registered with the Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide Index. Additional bands will be featured once registration with the main web site has been completed. It is there, where you'll be able to read more about them from biographies to the latest interviews, news and additional photographs. Before you click 'add me as a friend', if you do not like or have no interest in ABBA, their related careers, tribute bands/shows or events, then please think carefully. If your profile is set to private your request will be denied because I prefer to read about new friends before clicking that button. This group issues ABBA/related bulletins, messages, news and blogs and genuine interest in this site and the subject matter is the only qualification to become a friend of Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide.

ABBA's influence and music is worldwide and many groups and artists have covered ABBA's songs. They have been released on singles and albums and/or performed on TV and in live concerts. Below is just a small selection of groups and artists who have paid their own tribute to ABBA in their own way. ABBA's music will continue to go on and on and on and speak for itself for the many generations to come.
ABBA's music has also been used in theatre productions, musicals - the most famous being Mamma Mia!, comedy productions and films. Just more examples how inspiring ABBA and their songs can be.
