WwW.MyspaceCo.de Abbey Kyat is an Island Music artist, writer, entrepreneur and actress who performs Soca, Calypso, Reggae and Hip Hop. She calls herself a Regghipso artist that brings life’s situations to light often in a lighthearted fashion. Abbey debut album entitled ‘Bouk Time! a project she’s been working on since 1999 thus the title ‘Bouk Time! IS FINALLY HERE! She recently finished her first video for the song ‘Me (MI) Nah Know’ a SocaOpera which features Cocoanut Lady a character also on her label ‘Islan’ Chick Entertainment. Abbey contacts Cocoanut Lady’s advice show to ask her advice on what to do if her fiance catches her cheating. Cocoanut Lady’s advice is to just deny everything by saying ‘Me Nah Know’ to everything he asks her. Abbey’s ‘Kyat Pack’ includes Cocoanut Lady, producer Sli of Sli Productions, songwriter Eugene 'Yonachak' Cline and writer and artist Mece. Abbey began performing in 1994 along with a local Deejay named Sli (Sellaci) of Sli Productions. Often emulating artists such as Shelly Thunder, Patra, Sister Carol, Salt And Pepa and Queen Latifah, the US Virgin Island-born Abbey's commanding voice caught the ear of local Producer Seko Varner of the Virginia-based Seko Sound System. She joined the group in 1995 and began doing shows and mixed tapes.
