A beautiful and eclectic collection of creativity...
There are times a brilliant and beautifully composed piece of music speaks stronger to my soul than hymns... no matter the composer or intent of the performer. This music, this art reflects the beauty of the Creator that cannot be hidden nor denied no matter the intention of the musician or instrument. I am not denying the power of music intended only to honor and glorify Jesus (such as "church songs"), rather, those are precious rocks on which our faith can stand... But learning to see and know Him in places outside of what culture has defined "Christian" is missing the vast width and depth of our Creators reach and beauty. He will not be contained and cannot be hidden- even in music. His creation, ALL of his Creation reflects its creator- whether they mean to or not. The rocks and trees will cry out... :)
THAT is a big God. He says in Psalms that music is the "language of the heart"...
So, branch out.... listen...

Occasionally, one will find a person who seems to desire more than most, one whose heart refuses to settle for anything less than what burns in their soul. Those are few and far between, but even more rare is a person who actually pursues it.
Abbi Walker is a singer/songwriter whose artistry wells up from the deep places of her soul, and from the honesty of her life. Many connect with the bared “soul” and honesty of her lyirics, her voice, and her story. Her non-mainstream style is refreshing in a world where unique artistry struggles to survive. Frustrated by the lack of honesty and transparency in much of the mainstream Christian music today, Abbi is stepping into a new place, writing and performing songs that describe heartache, doubt, God’s sovereignty, the struggle to forgive, and much more.
Abbi has been in music and ministry for the last 10 years, and she spent the last 3 years on staff at a church in San Antonio as the Girls Director for the youth ministry. She has a love for students and women, and connects in a unique way with her audience. Abbi feels that true ministry often flows out of the broken places of our lives, and she strives to speak and minister out of those sweet places of honesty and vulnerability. Whether in concert, worship, or a talk, Abbi strives to see God’s people encounter the living, healing, mighty God.
In the fall of 2006, Abbi released her 2nd full length indie album, “Hope of a Little Green”. During 2008, Abbi’s song “Save Me” was released nationally on 2 Indie Compilation CD’s, and also received radio play on CCM’s highlight of the “Underground Sound” CD released by NuSpring Records. Indelible Creative Group released also released their indie compilation “Top 20 Indie” CD with “Save Me” on it as well.
