-A BEAUTIFUL LOTUS started around 2002, when i decided to start writing beats on my own. Trying to make something that sounded like no one else, something original, diffrent, and completely out of this world. It all began as Edible Orgasm, the first demo (here it cums!) was self released and only a few friends recieved it at the time. Through many rolled up papers fading away what seemed to be a shitty existence ABL was born. The name basically came from the thought of having a name that didnt sound "metal" or whatever you myspace kids call it. But to just mess with the mind and completely throw you off track of what you thought it might sound like. It made sense to me, maybe not to you but its ok, you will understand soon.
-The first cd "OH! What A Time For Midi-Grind" Came out on Brokecore Records as a free mp3 release around early '05. The cd is now self released by ABL and you can get this classic cd at shows or through the mail. This cd contains 30 raw tracks of old school ABL. The roots of what is now known as midi grind!
-Having played many live shows A BEAUTIFUL LOTUS slowly gained not only a local fan base but as well as an international fan base also. September '06 Monsters With Machines Tour rolled into town, electrocutionerdz, the toilet, the smile adventure, i opened the show and got a good reaction from the guys and that opened the door to the tempoblaster family. Swiz told me right after i played that he wanted to release "25 Ways To Pick Up Chicks" (which at that time was self released) on his label TEMPOBLASTER.COM, So from that day on we talked over the release and released it as an mp3 release on the site. Im not sure the amount of download hits on the album but i do know the site did get over 10,000 download hits when the site was redone in '06.
-A BEAUTIFUL LOTUS has also released severel splits independently with the likes of: Anally Aborted Fetus, 120% Says Your Going To Explode, Here Comes The Gut Wagon, The Shock Deformity And Amputee, Scissor Shock, The Pikachu Death Ray Explosion, Grim Kirby, and has appeared on a variety of compilations..
-With the release of the new cd "Tales Of Lust And Revenge" A BEAUTIFUL LOTUS brings you a new kick to the face. A little something for everybody in this new cd. This cd will be shopped to diffrent labels and see where it goes from there. It will also be a free net release with a net label very soon! This is only the start of what is A BEAUTIFUL LOTUS, plans on a huge amount of new merch is in the works as well. new shirts, buttons, stickers, booty shorts, you name it
