"There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I walk that line."
I paint what I feel, what I experience, what I see. My art is a reflection of what is going on in my life or in my head at that time. I often get distracted by different things and may go off on a side trail exploring new things with my art. I have a tendency to take on too many new projects at once and have trouble completing any one in particular!
Right now my focus is on getting my photography studio up and running full-time.

I'm an artist (painting, collage, watercolors, oil, acrylic, pottery, clay sculpting) & poet with an art studio in Port Huron. I also do photography and web design.
I am a married mom of 4 amazing kids (the only good that came of my first marriage), 2 boys ages 17 & 18, and 2 girls ages 12 & 10. I have 2 grown step-kids (27 & 25) that I still care about from my first marriage although I don't get to see them very often :-(
Personality/Character? I have a sarcastic/wry sense of humor, i.e. the "I kinda sorta ROCK" picture.
I can often be intense, not a "one size fits all" kind of person and that's ok with me. I tend to take things very personal and am hurt easily. I am a spiritual person, my God has brought me through many trials; without my faith I would be nothing.
I am opinionated, passionate, strong, compassionate, and sensitive. I am blunt and honest...I have no problem with confronting people about things that are bothering me, get it out in the open and talk about issues.
I hate "fakeness". Keep it real.
I often feel misunderstood and get frustrated with stupidity/ignorance. I have issues with people who are insensitive and hurtful...mean people SUCK!
I like being different and unique, I don't care if I'm not like everyone else, there are too many zombie-clones walking around these days.
I enjoy a Clove cigarette on occasion, although I am not supposed to smoke (I have asthma, ugh).
My motto is "what can you do for someone else today?" It's not all about you! I get annoyed easily, especially by stupidity and people who are self-centered.Music
INDIE & Alternative music, I love stuff that's funky and different.
Movies
INDEPENDENT FILMS! I love movies that make you think, are artistic, or are completely different from the usual boring blah blah blah, like August Rush, Juno, Numb, Chicago, MirrorMask or Donnie Darko. I have a sarcastic and wry sense of humor so I like stuff that is a little off-the-wall.Television

and i built a starship to fly me into the center of my mind... so far it's still on the launch pad. other than that... i'm in love, as you know... and things are going well. but i miss her every day, and it can be a lonely life i lead... now and then i tell people i require more strangeness... and at times i relate immensely to a particular Baudelaire poem in his Paris Spleen book.... a certain line... "Make life beautiful!! Make life beautiful!!!" he shouted after a bunch of plain boring bland windows were destroyed... weird moment, laughing aloud and cheering on a dead poet... well over 100 years in the grave... and the poem itself was probably fictional and not autobiographical. and STILL i loved it... the rebellion, of course, and the moral... as well. feel like screaming out to the world on a megaphone big enough for my freakish lips
"MAKE LIFE FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL!!! NO MORE DULLNESS... don't gimme that same old sameness... paint VISIONS on these grey walls and streets that i can drink eyeballs deep till i'm drunky." hehee. other than that i howl when and wherever i can.
