After numerous hiatuses, side projects, and line-up adjustments, Chicago-land experimental act Abeo is back in action. Drawing even more influences from aficionado gems as well as the classics, it’s no wonder that Abeo’s sound has progressed and expanded to dimensions never heard before. The band is currently based around the trio of Indiana natives bassist and multi-instrumentalist Andrew "Waz" Wasowicz [analingus, bare-@$$ shart, tetracon, ankhsavant productions], guitarist and multi-instrumentalist "Communist" Chris Neumann [scarlet in the eyes, tetracon, strip the veil, ankhsavant productions], and percussionist and drummer Alex Prole. After two EP/demos [Hor'dourves of 2005 and Untitled of 2006], the band is expected for a release [or two] near the beginning of 2010, after numerous unexpected delays and incidents throughout 2009.
Abeo formed in spring of 2005 about a year after the forming of a now-defunct Industrial project Maendstro featuring Andrew [guitar and bass] and Chris [guitar and drum machines] shortly before meeting MickFly at a performance of The Dirty Mac. After one jam session, it was decided to form a band, known at first as Aunt Betty’s Wetspot as well as The Jac of All Trades. As time went on, distance grew between interests of the members after the 2005 limited first release of Hor’dourves [featuring the original versions of tracks such as “5eymoure and the Man-Eating Oranges”, “Acid Beach”, and “Elsa”, the EP being re-released in early 2006, but currently being out of print]. Abeo went on a temporary hiatus in the beginning of 2006, reforming a couple months later with drummer Mike Dunavant, releasing an untitled demo that again was limited in print and distribution including “Faster Foods” and “Little Gimp”. Once again, differences in interests and tastes grew, leading to a hiatus and the forming of Tetracon [originally as Jakob Neinhuiyse, Ryne Holmquist, Andrew, Chris], Scarlet in the Eyes [Chris and collaborators], and Strip the Veil [Chris, Adam Kristevski] while Andrew and Chris each also wrote material for Abeo on the side. Early in 2008, talks rebirthed between MickFly and Abeo, leading to numerous jam sessions, and the eventual reunion of the original lineup as well as a possible retrospective release. The early 2009 formula consisted of original members Chris, Andrew, and MickFly, with the addition of guitarist John Raila; through this quartet occurred the forming of Tartouche The Spry [Andrew Wazowicz, John Raila], the regathering of the central duo of Tetracon [Jakob, Chris], the forming of Analingus [Andrew, Jew], and various artistic side endeavors; as history does repeat itself, though, a fallout occurred, leaving Abeo on the prowl for a new drummer: Alex Prole.
Currently Andrew, Chris, and Alex are writing new music, rewriting and reformulating old music, and conjuring up numerous tricks up their sleeves. Shows are expected to resume in the beginning of 2010, with the release of material through AnkhSavant Productions and AbeoLounge Studios, with all material being recorded at The Abeo Lounge VI, located in Saint John, Indiana. You can expect Abeo to be up at Finnigan's in Dyer every Tuesday enjoying time with some old and new friends in Fresh Hops.

Hey guys. I'm really sorry but our tour got canceled. 5 out of 7 out of state shows, and our local show, got canceled on us. The Chicago show was the only one that didn't get canceled on us but we had to drop off because we couldn't drive out there for that one show.
Really sorry about that. Either us or East of the Wall we definitely be out in the area within the next year though.
