A-Bex & Azeem met in 2003 through a mutual friend. At the time, A-Bex was living in St. Louis, while Azeem was in Cincinatti. Originally, A-Bex is from Indianapolis, but spent most of his life in Miami, FL. Azeem was born in West Windsor, NJ, but also spent a brief period in D.C. and Brooklyn, NY. The artists' album "A-Bex and Azeem Present Groundwork" is currently being completed in Los Angeles, CA. It will be available on iTunes in mid-October, 2006.
A-Bex honed his emcee skills in St. Louis as part of its underground rap scene for five years, before moving to LA. DJ Azeem's passion for production, bass, and keys are part of a well-rounded live performance. Having won a series of DJ battles in Cincinatti, he is a consistent show stopper at clubs in New Jersey, Brooklyn, Manhatten, and Los Angeles. Together, they are currently collaborating on a variety of projects with artists from NY, St. Louis, and Los Angeles.
