ABHCAN

Bio:

At the very beginning, Abhcan is the son of Bilcelmos, harpist at Tuatha de Dannan (people of the Dana goddess) in Irish and Celtic mythology... We, are ABHCAN, a French heavy-melodic-prog band with a female singer since 10 years now. We are all from Paris’ suburbs. Our first 6 title demo CD in 2003 got us 2 gigs at Le Gibus (Paris) with the Emergenza festival. The solo guitar player chose to leave the band, so it took us quite some time to find the right new one. A few concerts in 2004 and 2005 (Le Gambetta, Paris)... Then we took part in the 2006-07 Fallenfest, and played 2 live shows at Capitol Studios (St Ouen, 93) along with other emerging bands... we won our place to the semi-finals and played at Le Trabendo (Paris). Our greatest show so far! This is when we had to make another break, due to a 2nd line-up change: our new singer made us discover new aspects of our songs. All this work and experience allowed us to be more confident, so we went in the studio (Groovy Studios, Fontenay-sous-bois) and recorded our 2nd demo Woman, in january 2008. But this time we focused on the sound quality... After half a dozen live shows essentially near Paris, we went back in the studio (Floxxsound, Montreuil, 93) remixed Woman, and recorded 2 new songs: Rain of fire, and The Black veil. We’re pretty much satisfied, and our fresh new EP is finally available. So for now, we’re more than ever eager to play live!!! .. Bio en français => ABHCAN.com ..
