Saturday morning o2.o2.2oo8 we went to Basildon. The first impression of the place, that we are going to spent a lot of time in.
This is going to be the biggest and most exciting project The People Speak has worked on so far - because we have the opportunity and scope to do something concrete and lasting with all the ideas and creativity generated in conversation with people in the Craylands Estate over the next three years. Through this long term engagement with all the different groups of people involved: residents, neighbours, developers, local government, visitors like ourselves and other artists we hope to develop what we do in Basildon from getting people speaking, to enabling people to start ongoing dialogues with each other, the neighbourhood and beyond.

85 GALLERY - ZAKSTRAAT 2 - 2000 ANTWERPEN
85 Gallery's cat, Baby, fell off a roof and had to get a very expensive operation to survive. Luckily, its owners decided not to give it a lethal injection and that's why they're organizing a charity auction with the donations of over 50 artists with a heart for animals. These special pieces will work perfectly as christmas presents so come on by and bid on your favourite artworks to support the good cause!
