   About A Block Of Yellow
Tired of faux emo? Gloomy retros got you down? A Block of Yellow are here to help with their new CD Do I Do. Conceived under the influence of the Kinks, the Clash, and the Stone Roses the glorious Brit Empire Pop (BE-Pop) sounds of ABOY certainly work wonders on tired and lonely ears.

Do I Do was recorded and produced by Don Kerr of Rheostatics and Ron Sexsmith fame over two years of hot summers and cold winters in Toronto Canada. The resulting twelve songs are specifically designed to hit hipster ears right where it counts. With the beat infection of ‘Do I Do’, the sing-a-long glory of ‘You Shook My Head’, and the fragile beauty of ‘And the Snow’s Too Deep’ these songs work wonders in the hit department.

A Block of Yellow began when the dual dueling Vox & Guitar boys, Alex Whalley and Anthony Nastasi, wanted to get their crafty song-craft beat-powered and basified in truly beautiful fashion. Recruitment of Dan Tomas on bass line creating bass and Rich Baker on beat creating drums followed and rounded out the quartet. Shows in their home base London, Ontario, Canada and further environs followed.

“It's got an oldies feel to it, which I love. The chorus made me want to dance like a little girl. Which although that should never happen, I liked anyways.” - Villains Are People Too

“One listen and you'll be singing it for the rest of the day, absolutely glorious. A Block Of Yellow's mix of sugary pop melodies and catchy guitar riffs are a pleasure to behold.” - Manacast.com

Hey There,

Hope all is well and good.

We are starting another round of licensing here at Fanatic Promotion and I'm wondering if you're interested. The agreement is free and we basically split any revenue right down the middle. It's an easy way to gain more exposure and make a few extra bucks! I'm going to send a copy of the licensing agreement out to the email(s) we have in the database. Be on the lookout, and contact me back through email if you're interested.

Thanks,

Garret Hurley
