Since forming in Jan 2002 AB Negative have been going from strength to strength and winning over many loyal fans with our exciting and energetic live shows showcasing our own particular brand of riff based guitar music.
During the time of our first 2 E.P’s (Moshy Peas and The Upper Crust, both of which received great reactions from the press and fans) we toured the UK extensively, which included The R.I.P Tour which was associated with Kerrang! magazine and the NME. During these shows we played with such legends as The UK Subs, Peter & The Test Tube Babies and The Rezillos.
We also had songs used from these E.P’s on U.S cartoon, Girlstuff/Boystuff, and American independent horror film, A-B Negative.
November 2006 saw the release of the Death Music E.P. This record built on the success of the previous E.Ps and our fanbase increased significantly. In support of this E.P we toured the UK and played with such acts as Discharge, GBH and played many dates with the UK Subs on their 2007 UK Tour. In the summer of 2007 we performed at the Edinburgh fringe festival, this was a fantastic experience and we shall be performing there again in the future.
We are currently about to release our debut single with a full album to follow in late 2009. We shall be touring the UK in support of these new releases winning over more fans and gaining more rave reviews for our entertaining live shows.

Hello,
We are playing the lovely Cardigan Arms on the 21st of March. Being foreigners from Sheffield, it would be grand if you could pop in and see us and bring a few other Leedsies with you if you are free.
Here are a few nice things people have said about us. Have a listen on our page and see if you like what we are up to
"AN AMAZING LIVE ACT, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN" (Sandman Magazine)
"AN IMPRESSIVE SET FROM A BAND WITH A KNACK FOR WRITING CATCHY SONGS AND DELIVERING THEM LIVE AS WELL AS IN THE STUDIO" (Sandman Magazine)
"PROMISING SONG WRITERS" (Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6)
"THESE DAYS I FIND THRASH AND POWER POP A BIT REPETITIVE, BUT THIS WAS REMINISCENT OF MORRISSEY WHILE STILL BEING PERSONAL, I HEAR THE POSSIBILITY OF A GOOD FUTURE. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU COULD SUPRISE US ALL ONE DAY". (Paul Gambaccini, BBC Radio 6)

Hello, we are foreigners from Sheffield that will be playing Leeds on the 12th of December at the Cardigan Arms. It would be grand if you could come and make noise for us, as Sheffield folk are far too frightend to come to a big city like leeds. Cheers The Unfortunate Incident
For Gods sake Darren, the next time somebody drives past you in Leeds screaming out of the car window at least have the courtesy to scream back instead of looking at them like a weirdo.
