Comi (vocal) and Isobe (guitar) started the band in 1988.
Since their first album “Buried Alive”, their music has always been a gloomy mixture of punk, hardcore, heavy metal, and new wave punk.

Their sound has a subtle cult flavor like Misfits, together with Comi's vocal style which reminds you of The Cult, Doors and Damned, creating an unique heavy rock style of their own. Their vicious live performance and dynamic rock groove make audience addicted to their sound.

1995
Released a mini album “Buried Alive” from Spider Records (out of production) Released a split album with GMF
“GMF, Abnormals / Pull Up From Underground”

1997
Opened Misfits first gig in Japan
Released 1st album “Abnormals” from Creativeman Disc (out of production)

1999
Released a mini album “Hatred” from Howling Bull (including two cover songs of Damned)
Released 2nd album “No Surrender”

2000
Opened gigs of Speedealers, Zeke, Murphy's Law in Japan
Released a split album with Yellow Machine Gun “Split” - 8 tracks covering each other' songs and exchanging band members.

2001
Released 3rd album “Sympathy”

2003
Released “The Artist Formerly Known As Abnormals” under the name of The Fly Wheel

2008
Joined Japan tour of The Bug (Ninja Tune)

2009
Released 4th album “Inisie Violent”

2010
Performed at POP WAVE FESTIVAL

In May 2011,
after the departure of the original member/ guitarist Isobe
and the long-time drummer Murochin,
Kiyo(Gt.) and Masato(Dr.)(They both are of Octovision) and Yuri(of oak) joined the band.
Now their sound is the strongest and tighter than ever and soon enough the new ABNORMALS will be revealed…

The band presents original show cases “Holy Blind” with other influential underground rock bands like Boris and Mad 3.
They actively perform more than 50 gigs a year in various venues ranging from a music hall to a garage.

Currently planning their 5th album, sending entries for music festival inside and outside Japan, and preparing an internet radio airing the band's favorite music.

The band is looking for an overseas music label!!
