Not many local bands can grab someone's attention and make them take notice. Then again, not many local bands are spreading a message quite like "About A Mile". Adam (18), Levi (20) and Luke (17) Klutinoty are taking your average Christian music and adding a fun, up-beat, rock edge, and getting quite a following. Honestly, this is one band that is going to make everyone sit up and take notice, and isn't going to fade into the dark anytime soon.
About A Mile's 2006 demo release titled "Send Me an Angel" did very well for the band. They hope to reach out to the world in a deeper way with their new album "Find Yourself". The title track of the album tells listeners to fight through struggles and find theirselves with powerful lyrics like "I know, that you can be strong enough, to find where you belong and tough, enough, to get through anything."
The name About A Mile comes from a study that Jesus carried His cross "About A Mile". We challenge you: How far will you carry yours?
Adam Klutinoty(18)- The lead singer and guitarist for "About A Mile." Has a voice that has been compared to John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Jason Wade (Lifehouse), and Scott Stapp (Creed). His guitar playing is incredibly good for his age and brings "About A Mile" its screaming guitar solos that seem to have been forgotten by many Christian bands. Adam has also done all the writing for the bands original songs and puts his passion and talent into writing the songs to give them deeper meanings for the band as well as the listeners.
Levi Klutinoty(19)- "About A Mile’s" heart and soul, Levi’s drumming has many people coming to "About A Mile" shows simply to see him play. The recent winner of a local drum off in Pittsburgh, Levi has skills far beyond his years. He has a knack for catching the audiences’ eye with his overwhelming fills but keeps his beats simple and steady keeping rhythm for the band.
Luke Klutinoty(17)- The youngest of the three, but don’t let the age fool you. Luke can make any normal bass line sound remarkable, and has the abilities to have exceptionally good bass solos. Luke's bass playing gives "About a Mile" it's core sound.
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know hwta he has done sing to Him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about His miracles. 1 Chronicles 16:8-9 Have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends!!! Fooooood is gooooood!! :)
