I’ve had little luck getting my work published but I stubbornly continue writing because this is what I love to do. I’ve had much more success as a playwright than as a novel writer. Two of my short plays were produced in 2007. | | Music | I like all music except world, country, and hard rap. I especially enjoy independent Singer/Songwriter type music. My guilty pleasure is pop music. | | Movies | I’m a huge movie geek. On my netflix cue I’ve rated 4000+ movies. So I’ve watched at least that many. My favorite movie list is too long to put in this section. | | Television | I’m of the opinion that we are currently experiencing a revolution in TV. I watch most new shows. And I love the smart shows coming out of cable these days. Once again, my list of favorites is just too long for this space. | | Books | When I was a teenager I was a voracious reader but as an adult I’ve found that reading fiction interferes with my ability to write fiction. I can only have one story going on in my head at a time. So I read mostly non-fiction these days. I highly recommend "The Tipping Point" OR "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. | | Heroes | Joss Whedon, My Husband, and My Mom. |

I don't balk at a challenge.
WORLD (O.S.)
Everyone in the industry writes scripts.
ELIZEBETH
That just means I'm special. I'm a writer first. A prolific writer. With an unlimited imagination.
WORLD (O.S.)
Your asking for a world of hurt. It takes years to make it.
ELIZEBETH
I'll get known any way I can. I’ll write scripts for movies or plays or even television. If I have to, I’ll become a filmmaker so that people can see my writing talent. I’ve already made a bunch of videos for YouTube, to teach myself about shooting and editing.
WORLD (O.S.)
You don't even live in LA.
ELIZEBETH
Yeah, but I live in the Bay Area. Moved out here to pursue my dream. There’s a thriving theater scene. I just need to network.
WORLD (O.S.)
(sarcastic)
Oh, and that’s something you’re good at.
ELIZEBETH
You know, World, you’re a real downer. Maybe we can talk again, when you have something constructive to say.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone interested in the business of Theatre, Film, or any other forms of storytelling. Especially those motivated enough to work with me on projects.
I'd much prefer to spend all my time writing than have to direct or produce, but after 15 years of being a productive writer - and amassing a huge collection of stories just gathering dust - I've come to the conclusion that I have to take matters into my own hands.
