LINE & A DOT - LONG WAY HOME
"yes, over there, that's Esteban's village"
LINE & A DOT
Truly delightful music from the leafy suburbs of Northampton. Sarah “sings along” to her acoustic guitar “in different notes with different words”. A slightly simplistic self-summary of the songs of Line & A Dot. Considering the wealth of influences ranging from the writings of Seamus Heaney to Hunter S. Thompson. Whilst musically there’s touches of Elliot Smith and Jenny Lewis. Listen to the gorgeous, charming sounds of Line & A Dot here and become captivated by her sheer natural splendour…
(Unquiet Desperation Presents....)
Line & a Dot is the music of One Toy Sarah
Sarah plays an acoustic guitar (which she first picked up aged 12) and sings along to it in different notes with different words.
Sarah often makes her music under the influence of people like Elliott Smith, Daniel Johnston, Neutral Milk Hotel, Jenny Lewis, Okkervil River and Eels. She likes all of these people.
Sarah also plays bass guitar in a band called One Toy Soldier. This is her favourite thing to do, and has been for almost 4 years now.
You can listen to this band here:
http://www.myspace.com/onetoysoldier
But. Look. the music of Line & a Dot is soon to be recorded proffessionally, and released as an EP, which Sarah is very excited about.
In the meantime, you could listen to her homemade offerings here..
Sarah is living in Northampton, Enlgand. She is 23 years old, of French descent, and has lived in exactly 17 houses since her birth. If you look closely, one of Sarah's eyes has a squint, and there are always black marks on the cuffs of her sweater
She likes to play shows here there and everywhere, and if you wish to book her you can certainly do so, by contacting onetoysarah@hotmail.co.uk x x x LINE & A DOT - The Worst Thing You Could Do LINE & A DOT - L.O.V.E

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
