LINE & A DOT
Truly delightful music from the leafy suburbs of Northampton. Sarah “sings along” to her acoustic guitar “in different notes with different words”. A slightly simplistic self-summary of the songs of Line & A Dot. Considering the wealth of influences ranging from the writings of Seamus Heaney to Hunter S. Thompson. Whilst musically there’s touches of Elliot Smith and Jenny Lewis. Listen to the gorgeous, charming sounds of Line & A Dot here and become captivated by her sheer natural splendour…
(Unquiet Desperation Presents....)
Line & a Dot is the music of One Toy Sarah
Sarah plays an acoustic guitar (which she first picked up aged 12) and sings along to it in different notes with different words.
Sarah often makes her music under the influence of people like Elliott Smith, Daniel Johnston, Neutral Milk Hotel, Jenny Lewis, Okkervil River and Eels. She likes all of these people.
Sarah also plays bass guitar in a band called One Toy Soldier. This is her favourite thing to do, and has been for almost 4 years now.
You can listen to this band here:
http://www.myspace.com/onetoysoldier
But. Look. the music of Line & a Dot is soon to be recorded proffessionally, and released as an EP, which Sarah is very excited about.
In the meantime, you could listen to her homemade offerings here..
Sarah is living in Northampton, Enlgand. She is 23 years old, of French descent, and has lived in exactly 17 houses since her birth. If you look closely, one of Sarah's eyes has a squint, and there are always black marks on the cuffs of her sweater
She likes to play shows here there and everywhere, and if you wish to book her you can certainly do so, by contacting onetoysarah@hotmail.co.uk x x x LINE & A DOT - L.O.V.E
UGHHH...witches has just gotten so commercial now...I'm very much of the ilk of classical witches practice (there was a producer at work who used to say "very much of" in this fashion and it made me so made, cuz it seemed like she said it every other day. She didn't celebrate witches).
when witches rolls around this year, you and your loved ones will find nothing more frightening then old mother witch stirring a hundred gallon cauldron of nuclear waste in front of the japanese flag!
i don't understand how you are able to record a full cover of monster mash and make a video in one evening, didn't you go to a concert too? you're a genius... here, enjoy this halloween gif:

We love your stuff as you know already.. can you help??
We have an outstanding song we wish to be published for another artist or released as is. It has everything from superb backing harmonies from a quire to a blistering solo and well thought out melody lines. Please hear the song on our myspace soon, it has the backing of the press and radio as it standing this month. We wish to raise money for charity with it's sale. If you care about children please hear the song out. The song is called "Children in need". Can you help or know someone who can aid us on our quest? Please comment back on our myspace to at least give us encouragement to make this happen. God bless you.. we would be honored to hear from you.
I am pretty stoked I got a chance to talk with you, even if I am terribly shy and awkward : ). Yeah, I pretty much had to jet after the show. Got home around 4am and had a darned college class at 8. Wanted to tell you that you were def. worth the drive (though i already knew that), but you disappeared too! I guess you came back? Um, I promoted you in my blog. Took a picture and a video from your myspace to do so. Hopefully you won't mind? If you do, please let me know, I'll delete the post!
