My interests are wide and varied. I'm a very inquisitive and open minded person. I'll listen to just about anyone, and discuss almost any subject.
I used to focus on Science alot, but I guess my interests these days lean towards Philosophy and Spirituality. Well science can tell you alot about the world, it doesn't fill in the big questions about meaning and purpose. Those you really have to explore yourself.
Music
Everything but Country, not counting Blue Grass and maybe some Johnny Cash. I heard too much of that non-sense growing up on the farm.
I also LOVE to hear live, original music played by local artists. The music is so honest and heartfelt. These artists play without reward for the love of the craft. It's inspiring.
Movies
Sci-Fi, fantasy, action. These days, it's hard to put anything on the screen that's good enough to hold my attention for a full 2 hours. The internet has given me a serious case of A.D.D. But if the story is outstanding, and the special effects are amazing, I'll go and see it.
Some of my all-time favorites are the first Terminator, Star Wars series, and the samurai movie Yojimbo.
Television
I love Anime! I enjoy the deep, complex stories that evolve over time, as well as the rich character development. I also appreciate their attempts to interject philosophy into what an otherwise very vapid medium. It might come off overbearing and often cheesy, but at least they try.
Other then that, I like most Sci-Fi programs, including the BEST TV SHOW EVER, "Heroes". Also some history programs, anything on technology related, adult oriented cartoons like South Park.
South Park is a hugely under appreciated series. They have a remarkable ability to take timely and sensitive issues and present them in a, usually fair and balanced, viewpoint. For a show with so many fart jokes, it's probably one of the most brilliantly written television shows of all time.
So, basically I like any TV show or movie that makes you think without becoming too preachy or self important. I'm talking to YOU, Mr.Foreign Films!
Books
I don't often have the time to read physical books these days. When I'm not working on a new piece of artwork, I'm reading online news, talking to people I know, and handling my business affairs. Most of the things I read are online. I can spend hours navigating through the interconnected information on Wiki. When I do read physical books, it's usually something silly, like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Robert Asprin's Myth series.
I am an independent artist by profession. I work in all kinds of media, but since money is the cold hard truth that defines us, I'm a video game artist right now. I'm pretty good at it, and it supports me well.
Personally, I'm a rather shy person, wary of strangers. But once I know someone, I tend to talk alot, probably too much. I have a habit of annoying people by thoughtlessly expressing my views and opinions without first thinking how those views might effect those around me. It's a bad habit, but I'd rather say what I think, then spend a lifetime keeping to myself.
Never take anything I say too seriously, and try to keep an open mind. You can read VOLUMES of my personal thoughts in my excessive blog posts I make regularly.
Who I'd like to meet: Nikola Telsa. He had a captivating and insightful view of the inner workings of the universe. I think it drove him mad in the end. He understood everything in creation as facets of electromagnetism interplaying with each other, and could see ways of bending these forces to mankind's usage. He's the father of Alternating Current, or you might say, the power that comes out of your wall. He was robbed by Edison, mocked by the scientific community, and did things that are still classified as top-secret to this day. His genius is truly the stuff of legend.

OMG! You MUST add The Mist to your Netflix list. The monsters I thought could be a little but better than what they were but the plot is killer and the ending is the best thing I've seen in days! You will LOVE the ending.
