"A Boxful of Treasures Folk Club" is a non-profit Italian Cultural Association whose stated purpose is to encourage and promote all forms of musical and artistic expression of Scottish, Irish, Wales and English Folk Music.
We are organizing a new edition of our Folk Festival for the next summer 2009 and our promotion team is looking for all folk musicians who want to give the best of themselves on our free stage.
Soloists and Groups in all styles may apply as long as Tradional Folk Music is the main acoustic traditional music played on non-electronic instruments.
Each participant must send a description as detailed as possible of the history of the group, the program, and any other information, which may be of interest to the public and will be utilised for the introductions of the group, and can be included in the press release.

The Festival is organised on a non-commercial basis and it hosts and promotes the greats of Irish, Scottish, Wales and English Folk Music.
The aim of the organisers is to preserve the Scottish, Irish, Wales & English cultural heritage and also to allow Italian people to learn to know each other better. Therefore much time is reserved for playing acoustic folk music.
This is the second edition of the Festival and it will be held in Forlì, 65 km south of Bologna. The full open-air performances take place in the historic "Piazzetta della Misura" in the City Centre of Forlì, behind "Piazza Saffi", the Forlì mail square.
This year's event will kick off on Friday, July 31th, and Saturday, August 1th, with two full evening concerts.

We offer our hospitality and our hearts to those who want to share with us this fantastic project inspired by friendship and good music and surrounded by our Mediterranean climate !
