Abreaction is an unsigned act from Chicago. The name stems from a psychological term meaning, the purging or release of repressed emotions.
The fourth album by Abreaction entitled The Atriarchs is based on a story set in the future where the boundaries of consciousness and the construct of reality have been further refined. Each song on the album is from the perspective of a character in the story.
I think I might perfer the old acoustic stuff, like for all the wrong reasons and recovery, over anything, but any good musician must evolve. And Im really glad to see that you are doing so. :) I dont write as much as i used to though I should. I really want to get a band together but I can never find a good singer that is seious enough to be in a band with me. Well take care. I hope to hear some new stuff from ya.
Hey man, Yeah that sounds really good about hanging out if I happen to make it to your town at all. Still undecided on where and what I will be doing, all depends on how much saving goes on from now until the end of the year. I must say it's a little disappointing to hear the acoustic is tucked away, but I like hearing you're back doing your own thing again, and I'm sure it will make for some interesting sounds. Can't wait to hear what you come up with this time around. And hey I didn't mean to be negative or anything, and as you said it was just my honest opinion so I'm glad you didn't take it badly or anything. Keep up the passion mate! and most importantly, Take Care!!
Hey dude, Sorry I took so long getting back to you with some feedback on the new record. I had a bit of trouble getting into it at first. For me the older stuff was such a big deal to me. I love the older songs a lot, they've been really something to me over the years. And Beyond These Clouds was a fantastic collection of songs. So I personally felt the new batch of songs wasn't doing as much for me as those others did. It sounded really different to me, but then again you've got someone else on board these days. I've listened it over a bunch of times but it just doesn't grab me the same way the other songs have in the past. I don't really know why this is, it's just a personal opinion. I'm not saying that the new one is bad or anything, just a lot of the songs are similar and don't really jump out the way the older ones did. Anyways Bob, I don't mean to be negative about any of the things I have said. I'm sure people love it the way I love the older albums. I do like the song Time Stop muchly. Hope all is going well with you over in the states mate! I should be coming over in the winter time, don't ask me why I will be leaving Summer for Winter but I am... So if you get out for some shows I would love to see them. Take Care!
yeah! cool! I'm gonna listen to it. I go and listen to alternative, indie rock, grunge and rock n'roll bands almost every friday... cool Well my book is really about abreaction, and also about music. I'm gonna publish it online as well. I'll tell you about it.. it might be interesting for you :-) I'll donwload your album right now! see you!
Hey man lovin the new album. I downloaded it this morning. Very unique stuff. I love how all of the music just kind of transitions. Another great addition :D
Long time, not chat. Things aren't too good here. My boss (after promising shit for 6 years and never sticking, too) takes my full time away from me and gives me part time. I'm struggling really bad. The only good thing that comes out of it is I get to spend more time with my kids. I continue to think positive, though. I know she'll get her judgment day in the end, so I hope she's ready to take it up with God for all the hell she's put people through. Anyways, that's just 1/2 of my life now. I'm sure you didn't care to know, but you ask... Haha. The other 1/2 I won't even say because it's a long story. For now, I'm going to go make some chili for my lil' rugrats. Later and love, Sarie PS> congrats on the new album.
Hey mate, Just heard the new song, not bad at all. Keep the new stuff coming and I'm hanging for another album... You're still loved and respected all the way down under here in Australia too mate! Keep up the good work!
Hey I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I hope things are going well. It's been a while since I was on your profile but the songs on right now are well done. Keep up the good work :D
