14 year old Timi Abrigo, 11 year old Emily Abrigo, 6 year old Quinn Abrigo.
Influences
These amazing children have been inspired by the greats of Hawaiian music: George Kahumoku Jr., Ledward Ka'apana, Gabby Pahinui, Raymond Kane, Sonny Chillingworth, Ozzie Kotani, Dennis Kamakahi, Cyril Pahinui, Richard Ho'opi'i, Genoa Keawe, and many others. We give a special "Thank You" to Chino Montero for being such a mentor and an inspirational Uncle to the children. Mahalo Uncle Chino!
This band was formed in 2005 when seven year old Emily picked up the bass guitar to play along with her big brother Timi. At the age of ten, Timi became the head of the band holding the lead instrument, ukulele, and the lead vocal. Three year old Quinn handled percussion for the group.
Like magic, their little band was born.
Since then, they have infused their music with the addition of Hawaiian Slack key guitar, the vocal style of falsetto, and the traditional sound of the pakini bass. Focusing on the greats of Hawaiian music, they bring the old style back to life. Today, their music includes a mix of traditional Hawaiian music, some classic rock, and even a little reggae. The recordings on this site have been created at home by Timi.
We had so much fun and met a lot of friends and family at the 26th Annual Slack Key Festival. Uncle Ledward Kaapana was there early to cheer our entire family thanks him and his ohana for being there for us. We'd like to thank everyone for making this a great event for all and please enjoy our pictures and video of opening this great event!
Tim Abrigo, a mechanic and the father of the three very talented keikis, suffered an injury at work in February. He has been in severe pain and unable to walk since the injury, and the family desperately needs your help!
Tim is the sole provider for the family - mom Lanet home schools the children, makes their performance outfits, takes care of the busy household, and is now providing the 24 hour care Tim needs. Although CT scan results show no permanent damage and the doctors expect Tim to recover eventually, they have no idea how long it will take.
The family, still struggling to make ends meet after moving from Maui back to O'ahu in August 2008 (for Tim's job), has NO savings, is behind on their mortgage payments and other bills, and can't even afford to fill their propane tank (their only source of hot water). They are still waiting to hear if Tim might qualify for any type of disability payment, they're using the services of a food bank, and looking into other forms of assistance that might be available, but they've had no income since Tim's injury.
Tim is an extraordinarily dedicated family man, and a very hard worker - someone who worked long hours to provide for his family, and who is now suffering due to his current inability to provide for them.
The children would love to help by performing their traditional Hawaiian music and earning money to help pay the family's bills, but paid performances have been few and far between since they moved from Maui. (For those who've heard them, you know these kids are TALENTED!)
The family has never before asked for help, nor did they ask this time - when we heard about their plight, we couldn't stand by and do nothing, and that's where YOU come in!
Please consider making a donation to help them in their time of need. It doesn't need to be large - even $5 will help! All donations made through this site will go directly into their PayPal account.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers and Mahalo nui loa for your aloha and kokua!
NOTE: If you would like to donate to help the Abrigos but would prefer not to do it online, a check will be greatly appreciated.!
Please make the check payable to: LANET ABRIGO

Beautiful pics from last night! I was able to stop in for a VERY LITTLE in the beginning when they first started, but my family of 4 children and my husband were waiting in the car. And bringing them out would have been a complete CIRCUS. Hope you guys can make it down for our show again sometime! Keep up the music!
It has been such a joy this morning watching your video's. I have watched Alison grow into a confident charming artist which she has displayed so well singing with you three. It will fill me with much joy watching the three of you continue with your music as you grow. You three are awesome, and bring a light to the world, keep up the work. Sherry
