Coming from a background of hardcore, techno, D&B, house, breaks & more A:B:S certainly doesn't hide his influences. Instead he draws on all of these to create a raw dirty crowd rocking sound covering the full spectrum of breaks and beyond. After rediscovering his love for techno and a growing appreciation of house A:B:S' sets have started to veer more towards the tech-funk sound complete with a smidgen of acid and a dose of old skool for good measure.
After joining rejectbeats in early 2007 A:B:S became a resident DJ at their socialize & rejected nights in Colchester, supporting the likes of Cut La Roc, Funkasaurus & DK (Ninja Tune). He also found time to play for Freestyle Beats Soundsystem in Chelmsford and at Studio 3 in Bury St Edmunds.
Building on the previous year's success, 2008 has been a great year for A:B:S with storming appearances at NASSfest 08 & Rumble for Streetwise Records, Retox Productions in Bury St Edmunds as well as numerous sets for rejectbeats. This has done nothing less than reinforce the reputation he has worked so hard to achieve, and with plenty more projects in the pipeline it looks set to continue . . . .

"Elite Force’s eclectic, but always pounding, U&A Recordings lets fly another belting remix package with the allusive Zodiac Cartel once again turning up and running away with the show. His mix of ‘Jack the Joint’ is one hell of a filthy, groovin’ monster, which is how stomping, head down and ankle deep in mud would sound if it were a noise instead of a scenario…hmm... Ok, also Deepgroove turn in another nice version which is a little less sludgy, but pleasing all the same, and we also have a cut from Introspective who sit somewhere in the middle, with their pulsating big bassline interpretation.
