I am a little slow about checking my myspace. Most people of muscles bigger than Dom's lol. I currently have the flu and havn't eaten in two days...maybe that will help jump start this whole weight loss thing. I am trying to think skinny so we can go club whoring. When we are both hot and sexy we will certainly have to go out.
School is horrible. It takes time away from me being a lazy bum! I started going to the gym with my friend Ryan I swear he is trying to kill me. Death by exercise. I have gone everyday for the past two weeks. I got a new tattoo yesterday. Hope all is well!
Tired of Feeling Tired? By Amy Wong (Just Sharing Some Happy Thoughts) "I wish I had more energy." The key is to know when your energy is down and what you can do to turn it around." In his new book author Jon Gordon, The 10-Minute Energy Solution, he maps out a 30-day plan with a simple 10-minute exercise each day to give you a boost physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Some favorites are:
1. Start your day with a positive energy walk. Step briskly and say what you're thankful for. Think affirmative thoughts like I look forward to the rest of the day, the people I'm going to meet, the things I'm going to learn. Or complete these sentences: I believe that... I trust that...
2. Neutralize the "energy vampires," The people who drain you. Counter their negative comments and attitude with kindness and compassion. Another person's negativity can only bring you down if you let it.
3. Lose your mind. No, don't go crazy. Go meditate. Sit in a quiet place. Focus on your breathing. Inhale and think of a word like so or one or peace. "You want to lose your thoughts, your thinking mind, so you can be one with the moment," Gordon explains.
4. Add play to your day. Run around the yard with your kids or your dog. Put on your favorite pick-me-up song and dance. Go for a bike ride. Build something out of Legos. Write the lyrics to your life as a funny country song.
5. Connect. Call an old friend you haven't talked to in a while. Invite a coworker to lunch. Drop a line—not by email but by good, old-fashioned pen and paper—to someone you don't see often.
6. Smile and laugh. Walk around your office and smile at your coworkers. They won't think you're strange, just in a good mood. Several times a day, think of a funny joke or experience, and laugh.
Video documentation of a performance piece by my friend Nate Kassel who rode around on his bike slapping high-fives to people who were trying to hail taxi cabs in NYC. Enjoy!
If you break your neck, if you have
nothing to eat, if your house is on fire, then you got a problem.
Everything else is inconvenience. ~Robert Fulghum
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. ~M. Kathleen Casey
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teresa
Peace comes when we realize it is just a journey and that it all gets better when we start to enjoy the ride.
And know that God is big enough to care for them better. A light is only benificial when it is turned on... so, let past relationships go and your light shine before men... Love and Light, Mary
