Rob Hubbard and the SID masters, Video-game music in general, 80's synthpop, Aphex Twin, Early Jungle/Drum 'n' bass, Jazz and Funk, countless other stuff.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you took an eccentric transgendered obsessive-compulsive control freak with a fascination for music and sound, gave her an Amiga, a fucked up childhood and a taste of early 90's Jungle at an impressionable age, a few music theory books and hours spent both at the keyboard and the sampler and computer sifting through the peaks and troughs looking for the perfect cut?
Well wonder no longer, for the Lord has provided you with Sendy! Via the cosmic accident known as existence your prayers have been answered. All you need to do is pay attention and listen! Described variously by those who have experienced her as "effortlessly creative", "the queen of breakbeat chopping", "a rhythmic genius", "most likely to be signed to a record label (in 1999)", "full of it" (though what 'it' is was not disclosed), and "the strangest and most compelling person I've ever met", what we have here is someone on a mission to downtread all that represents mediocrity and half-arsed electronic music.
In addition to her solo project, Sendy is the keyboardist, sound production/programming/mixing/sequencing boffin, and token "always looking pissed off" person in the gothic electronic/rock fusion band The Clockwork Dolls (formerly E-M.W), and has side projects with a few lucky, lucky people.
Sendy's hobbies outside music are video game level design, being lazy, keeping snails as pets, thinking about herself, and taking advantage of servile-minded people. She also enjoys long walks in the country.
