ABYSSIAN DESOLATION is an Occult Death/Black metal band from Liverpool (UK) which was originally conceived of in April 2004 by Left Hand Path Occult Adept Paul Tudor. The agenda was simply to create truly Esoteric LHP musical workings based on years of Occult experience and practices. A two track promo Entitled ‘Serenity…Succumb to thorns’ was recorded almost straight away with Paul playing all instruments. The purpose of the promo was just to get the name around on the underground scene and to try and help recruit full-time members. The promo, which was hastily recorded on an old Tascam 8-track console was only passed out amongst a few people on the scene and was never "officially" released as Shortly after this Paul was asked to sing for UK Black Metal band ETHEREAL and ABYSSIAN DESOLATION had to be put on hold for nearly two years. Many gigs with the likes of AVULSED, ANCIENT, BLOOD-DUSTER and ANCIENT RITES soon followed as well as the 2006 'Infernal Damnation Fest'. However, Paul eventually decided to part ways with Ethereal to concerntrate his efforts entirely on ABYSSIAN DESOLATION once more in 2006 and shortly thereafter uploaded the material from the 2004 promo simply to promote the name of ABYSSIAN DESOLATION and to serve as a taster for the release of the forthcoming demo ‘Black Blood Goetia’. Despite its primitive production, the ‘Serenity… Succumb To Thorns’ promo was extremely well received by the underground scene. In 2008, CDG Records released the title track of the promo on volume 1 of the ‘Union Black’ compilation CD, which featured some of the best underground extreme music bands from the UK. The debut demo CD was originally scheduled for a release early in 2008 but was delayed due to Paul undertaking a six month Occult Ritual based, in part, on a medieval Ritual made famous within Occult circles by Victorian Occultist Aleister Crowley.
Both conceptually and lyrically, ABYSSIAN DESOLATION takes inspiration from Left-Hand Path Occultism, Rabbinic Demonology and Psychedelic drugs, and owes a great deal to the mystical writings of Aleister Crowley, Kenneth Grant and Austin Osman Spare (as well as the surreal art of both Spare and Salvador Dali).
The free tracks available here are ‘Serenity… Succumb To Thorns’ and ‘Crown Of Forever’ both taken from the 2004 re-mastered promo of 2004.The full CD Demo entitled "Black Blood Goetia" is to be released over the coming months, and represents ABYSSIAN DESOLATION’s first official demo CD release.
alright fella, i shaved my head! ive never felt so free! haha. ive not bicked it or anythin, think its a number 7, but life really is so much easier.
i have my pedal tension fairly tight but saying that ive not played on anyone elses kit so i dont know what the norm is. ive tried looser but dont like it, not responsive enough.
if you ever fancy a jam or even just a pint or a smoke or summit to discuss any plans for doin some stuff gis a shout, id defo be up for it and it would be nice to finally meet you!
ah boss! i look forward to hearing some stuff. ill have a crack at drums but if i cant do the tunes justice ill bow out, im gettin ok like but im not to good with the blasts and that, although i can pull a half decent blast off.. double bass is pretty solid though. it depends on how blast orientated you want the drums really, i was thinking playing drums in a more ambient bm sorta band but ill defo give it a shot like!

alright buddy, na, not very inspired these days, been working on some new UG stuff but i have to many things goin on to delve into the massive effort of writting/recording. what i really wanna do is play drums for someone. you interested? or know anyone looking? hows tyhings with abyssian?
