Acacia Close formed from the disband of several other bands and a hope to bring something new to a stale fledging metal scene..... After winning the final Band Blitz in Milton Keynes in 2008, A.C wanted to take their sound to un-explored territories combining elements of metal with funk, pop, hip-hop and rock..... Mike Coldwell (vocalist) says "Metal music within our local scene and in general has become very one dimensional. Though alot of good bands are coming out it all sounds the same. Metal music has always had a negative connotation within it's style and roots, but it doesn’t necessary have to be that way... we are light hearted individuals and wanted to put a bit of our humour and personality back into the genre."...... With a new sense of style and perception on the scene have racked up gigs with a variety of bands such as Protest the Hero, The Chariot, Tonight is Goodbye, Heart of a Coward,.... Surfaces, Paige and many more. Their specific style gives them the ability to fit in with a wide variety of different music audiences furthering their audience and mass appeal of the band..... With 3 brand new tracks for kids to sink their teeth into, the future looks bright for the Milton Keynes youngsters..... .. Bands we have been lucky enough to have played with..... ..
