The unique intent of The Academy is to deliver quality instruction based on holistic teaching methods which acknowledge various learning styles while also offering the choice of both competitive and non-competitive classes. The Academy intends to produce community conscious productions and movement that articulates fun, strengh, talent and skill.
Music
Our music is both modern and classic, worldly and ethnic. Lyrics and song choice are chosen consciously with students in mind.
Heroes
Those peoples in society whose selfless attributes account for the tremendous growth in our Nations' youth. To the parents and to the teachers of our next generation; those are the heroes.
In my Native culture we are told that Artists are much like Warriors; in that Warriors fight for the importance of one's story.
Please encourage one another to tell your own individual and important stories.

Julia Jamieson
About me: Julia Jamieson, Artistic Director,holds a B.A., and a B.Ed. from YORK University, Toronto, ON.
Julia first begain her dance career with The Academy of Dance and Modelling in Brantford, On; has travelled across Europe, Canada and the United States competing and performing professionally for the last 15 years; is a graduate of the renowned Banff Centre for the Arts and Centre for Indigenous Theatre; was a student to Tap phenomenon Savion Glover; trained with Martha Hicks of Martha Hicks School of Ballet; performed in both musicals and stage plays across North America and is a recipient of artistic grants from both the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.
Julia is also an accredited High School teacher. She has also instructed for the Six Nations Reservation, BROCK University and Mohawk College.
She has also worked as a Youth/Adult Addictions Counsellor, Modelling, Dance and Dramatic Arts Instructor.
