„BLACKstreet“, das sind heute Teddy Riley, Mark Middelton, Eric Williams und J-Stylez, wurde 1992 gegründet und feierte 1993 erste Erfolge. 1994 veröffentlicht die Band ihr Debüt-Album „BLACKstreet“ als Folge der 1993 veröffentlichten Debüt-Single „Baby Be Mine“. Das Album geht auf Platin und verkauft sich über eine 1 Million mal.
Der Durchbruch gelang 1996 mit dem viermal platinierten Album „Another Level“ und dem Hit „No Diggity". Weitere Nummer 1 Hits wie „Don't Leave Me“ und „Take Me There“ folgen. „BLACKstreet“ sind weltweit bekannt für Ihre einmaligen Auftritte und ihr gesangliches Talent. Für 2010 ist ein neues Album geplant, was sich aber durch den schweren Brand in Teddy Rileys Studio, wohl verzögern wird. Heute Abend sind „BLACKstreet's“ Mark Middelton, Eric Williams und J-Stylez live im „Shake!“ zu Gast. Sie bringen die unverwechselbare Stimmung der New Jack Swing Zeit mit dem R&B von Heute zusammen. Einmal mehr ein Event, welches das „Shake!“ durch sein clubbiges Ambiente und seine einmalige Stimmung bei Live-Auftritten so unverwechselbar in der Hamburger Musik Szene macht.

Die erfolgreichste Gruppe in der schwarzen Musik-Geschichte bildete sich 1961 in Detroit - „THE TEMPTATIONS“. 1963 feierten die Formation mit David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, Otis Williams und Paul Williams ihren ersten #1 Erfolg, „The Way You Do The Things You Do“.
Weltweit bekannt wurden „THE TEMPTATIONS“ mit Ihrem seidigen Gesang, ihren außergewöhnlichen Choreografien, Ihren unterschiedlichen Harmonien und Ihrem einzigartigen Stil. „THE TEMPTATIONS“ (auch genannt „Die Fünf Könige von Motown“) setzten Ihren Erfolg in den Top-Ten fort.
