a shoegaze version of The Organ and Ladytron or maybe Electrelane meets My Bloody Valentine with the poppy side of Sonic Youth/Zoppo/Polvo or m83 without electronics we're influenced by the Pixies, the Smiths, the Cure , slowdive, ride and probably loads of other bands we didn't even know .......
who knows what might have been the biggest influence, we just like playing music and this is what it sounds like when we do...so listen to it and make up your own mind.
AC Berkheimer is a Rotterdam based quartet formed in mid 2005,
who combines fierce guitar riffs with dark and dreamy vocals. A sound that can also be described as a wall of melancholy if you wish.
In April 2006 the band released a 4-track demo and started performing live. They played Vera, Bitterzoet, Waterfront, 't Paard, Rotown and were invited to perform at The Music In My Head festival and the ZXZW festival. In the spring of 2007 AC Berkheimer was 'Hollandse Nieuwe' at VPRO's 3voor12.nl and the band teamed up with indie producer Corno Zwetsloot to create a first full length album.
