We are supporting groups here in San Jose and around the country in demanding full legalization and to stop the raids by Bush and La Migra. We are supporting building a movement for justice here in San Jose. Add our page and watch for our bulletins with events, protests and info on how to get involved.
May Day 2006 her/history was made. The world watched as millions marched and boycotted the economy. We shut down the economy in many key cities, states and border entries. In Los Angeles alone, five million plus workers shut down all types of industries. In the Midwest meat packing industries and auto parts plants were shutdown. In Florida, agriculture and construction companies closed. In many other cities the boycott succeeded. Students walked out voicing their opinions and leading the im(mi)gration movement. In 2007, the people came out again to commemorate our struggle, continue demanding legalization and justice and an end to the raids on communities.

The Ideas for Change in America competition was created in response to Barack Obama's call for increased citizen involvement in government. The final round of voting began on January 5.
The top 10 rated ideas from the final round will be presented to the Obama administration on January 16th at an event at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. At that event they will also announce the launch of a national advocacy campaign behind each of the top 10 ideas in collaboration with nonprofit partners to turn each idea into an actual policy.
