Her name sounds unfamiliar to many, but the angelic voice behind the monster hits "Torete" and "Sulat" and other singles in the multi-awarded albums "Popcorn" and "Press to Play" ( released in 2001 and 2002 consecutively with her former band Moonstar88) has established Acel firmly as an impressive singer/songwriter in the recent decade of Philippine alternative-pop music.
Now, she returns as a solo artist after a two-year hiatus, carrying a new line-up of excellent original compositions.

Acel sings like a nightingale, many say, and the extraordinary clarity of her voice has a sweet lightness that calms many who listen.
Her new batch of original songs is a refreshing selection of stellar melodies that merge alternative-pop, jazz, and country, into one well-knitted patch of musical masterpiece.
Acel effortlessly tops these tunes with her unique brand of light euro-rock vocal styling.
In 2007, she finished recording her new album. Her songs "Pakiusap", and "Laugh and Cry" are now being played on some of the radio stations in Metro Manila.
She is also the voice behind the song "Lihim"- one of the theme songs in the new soap of ABS-CBN “Maria Flor de Luna.”
Her song "Sa Ngalan ng Pag-ibig" is also included in the soundtrack of the telenovela "ROUNIN". The Soundtrack is now available in every CD outlets.
