Aces High are a five piece metal band from Fife, Scotland.
With musical influences from classic metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Manowar, Aces High stand out in the modern-metal scene by sticking to a more traditional sound.
The band originally formed in mid 2004, quickly building a die-hard following and packing every venue they played. The bands first EP, “Chaos Rising”, was recorded in early 2006, and their second EP, “Aces High” followed later that year.
But after only two and a half years, the band decided to call it a day in 2007.
Two more years passed, and in early 2009 they decided they had let the world suffer "false metal" for long enough. Due to public demand Aces High decided to reform.
The returning line up included the band's original bassist and a completely new guitarist. They hit the studio right away to start writing new tracks and to polish the old classics that their fans wanted to hear again.
Always known for their energetic stage performances, tight sound and epic use of harmony, Aces High are back and as strong as ever.
The band are currently in the studio working on new material and will be back playing live at a venue near you beginning in May. See them live in 2009.
