Aces High is a unique Hard Rock band that strays from today's norm of Nu-metal and indie music. The band itself is a combination of of four members with vastly different influences, each bringing their own unique and personal styles and tastes to the band. The two founding members John and A.J. Anagnos started Aces High about two years ago and after going through band members like Axl Rose goes through release dates the band finally settled on a stable lineup. John Anagnos (drums) is the band manager, who's influences range from classic rock to power metal. A.J. Anagnos (Lead Vocals/Guitar), is a co-founder of Aces High and his influences include forms of rock and metal. Tyler Holsclaw (Guitar/Backing Vocals) draws his influences from a broad spectrum of musical talent, ranging from Drum & Bass to Classical music, with an always present taste for everything he can bang his head to.
Aces High started out of a garage in 2003. Since then the band has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. From sharing the stage with bands such as Exodus, Yngwei Malmsteen, The Misfits and Wildchild, to winning Awards at the Rock City News "Rocky's". The band has built up its buzz and credibility. With the release of self titled debut album in 2007 and having dominated the charts on mp3.com.au with the single "Shades of Grey", the band is about to release their latest EP "Birth by Fire" look for it on Itunes on July25th. they were really good. and im all for christian/ chatholic bands i have nothign against them. but i really just wish there was more chances for my band to get out and play. and theres one pay studio were you pay by hour. but i meen. its just not a very music oriented town only recently has the scene even grown.
yeah im trying to get a place around here to play more shows. but if your not christian you really dont have a local place to play. gotta find someones house up in the middle of nowhere and throw your own. and war of ages
nah its all good. me and my friends have been going at it. for like a month and everytime we think we have one that realyl means something its always taken xD
im just happy you guys make really good music if it was taken bye some crap band id of been pissed. lol
