Ace Spade was born in 1945 in Brooklyn N.Y. His mother was a drunken prostitute who claimed to be impregnated by the devil himself. Born into poverty, he earned a meager income playing cards on the street & pool in the bars.
It was here that he was christened (if you can call it that) Ace Spade, because he never lost a bet. By the time he was 10 he was frequenting blues bars & RnR juke joints & first played guitar.
Standing literally in the shadow of men like Muddy Waters, John Lee hooker, Howling Wolf, Eddie Cochran, & Dion he learned his trade.
At his first performance in 1955 an attempt was made on his life by a local pastor who claimed he had visions that Ace was the Antichrist and that his music would bring about Armageddon.
After pausing to shoot and kill the holy man between songs, Ace finished his set to a shocked & ecstatic standing-room only crowd at Brooklyn's famous Paramount Theater.
In the audience that night was teen-tycoon Phil Spector who insisted that Ace fly directly to L.A. with him to record a record.
After satisfying a seeming endless line of hysterical groupies he boarded a plane to L.A.
It was a dark and stormy night and while flying over central Arkansas Mr. Spade's plane crashed in the Ozarks mountains on Sept 18th, 1952 and he was never heard from again UNTIL NOW...
On June 2006 the ground was cold and Ace Spade wass laying in wait for a sign. Dead for 51 years he knew his destiny was not yet fulfilled. Late one night a rural meth lab exploded and the inhabitants of a trailer home burned to death. As the powerful drug percolated into the ground the combination of the human sacrifices and intoxicating substances jump started Ace Spade's eager heart and he was reborn.
He is back now to save Rock N Roll from Emo, Art Rock, Disco... and of course to bring about the end of mankind.
