About me:
I am a geek, and proud of it. I dabble in everything. I'm what they call a "jack of all trades". Technology fascinates and frustrates me at the same time. I'm an IT Manager. I'm a web developer (ASP/PHP/HTML). I'm a DB admin (MSSQL/MYSQL/Access). I'm a photo freak - I take a crap load of pics - gotta love digital! One day I'll finally get a Digital SLR. I love messing around in Photoshop (see my guitar pic). I'm an amateur, self-taught guitar player because I can't seem to find anyone to learn and play with. I am also a self-taught piano player. I played trumpet in elementary school, and was damn good at it. I'm a mobile DJ - I DJ'd my own prom in 96, many many other proms, parties, weddings, dances, etc. My taste in music really runs the gamut (hey, i'm a DJ part time!) - if it has a good beat, and lyrics you can understand, and aren't retarded like Gwen Stefani songs, it really doesn't matter what genre it is. I do often find myself most interested in artists that actually play their OWN instrument - acoustic guitar and piano are my personal favorites. I am a radio communications geek. I have a total of 6 police scanners, several FRS radios, a shortwave radio, a handheld 2M radio, and a mobile 2M radio both for Ham Radio use. I finally got my ham ticket this past summer - KI4WRZ! It's great hearing the live happenings around you that often don't make it to your local late night news, or the newspaper. I am a geocacher - a GPS freak. I love to draw,, but I have been so distracted by my other interests that it's actually been quite some time since I've drawn anything. I'm always interested in acquiring a new hobby, even more so if it's got some technology involved - imagine that! I'm also interested in meeting up with people interested in some of the same.
