    CFS writes: Oh dear, I see my personal assistant neglected to update this profile. I suppose I shall have to do it myself. But not tonight. For tonight I'll just let you know that I am about to release a magnificent album of 4-track spontaneous compositions. In the meantime, I can be found playing in various "novelty" bands. And so on. And so forth. Bye! * * * * * Charley Stone, a.k.a. the Bonham Carter of Rock, rocks. .... She is available for hire, for guitar/BVs/bass/keyboard-ish-ness/other random musical things e.g. hoover-thru-wah-wah-pedal. But not for anything else. .... Most recently she has been performing with Charlotte Hatherley, a.k.a. the Kate Winslett of Rock, at scores of venues across this land and the next, as well as being providing deft bass playing, sexiness and so on for twisted surf band the Deptford Beach Babes. .... She also is a member of the New Royal Family, whose debut single "Anyone Fancy A Chocolate Digestive?" is about to sell out even before it is released... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... Somehow (don't ask us - that's the royal "us" - how) she has also found time to form The Abba Stripes with Melanie Woods (ex-drummer with Sidi Bou Said, surely the most underrated band of the past 2,000 years or more), about which more will follow... .... In the distant (and not so distant) past the Charley Stone has also played with the likes of Gay Dad, Salad, Spy 51, Linus (bass for about 2 gigs and an EP), Frantic Spiders, Nightnurse (guitar for one single), Snowpony (BVs at a few gigs and a 6music session), Fosca (various incarnations) and top queercore/romo/whatever-genre's-going band Men Should Wear Mascara. Amongst many, many others. I'm sure they have it all on the internet somewhere. Wikipedia usually knows what's what. (Although, not in Charley Stone's case, it would appear - someone sort that out please - go on, one of you lot on the doorstep, go on, a job for you...) .... Please note that the Bonham Carter of Rock does not generally accept "add" requests from bands unless she really, really likes them.
