Acho Brother is a solo act from Puerto Rico by way of Tampa Fl.It is a mix of latin american folk with electronica.The name Acho Brother means 'hey man' in Puertorican-
It all started when "A Beneficio de Marvin Santiago" was released as a 6-song EP to benefit singer Marvin Santiago who needed an organ transplant.
That was Orlando 2002.
In 2004, Hector Mayoral moves to Tampa Bay and begins work on
Acho Brother's follow-up MONKISH.

2007 brings the release of "Las Chicas del Volleyball", Acho Brother's 3rd album.Acho Brother is invited to join puertorican cohorts Mijo de la Palma for a string of shows at Nuyorican Cafe & Casa Cruz de la Luna in Puerto Rico.Collaboration begins sometime after when longtime friend and drummer Zak Byrd enters the picture for a few hi-octane shows along the Bay Area and out of the meetings "Hanbleceya" comes out;a 4-song EP described by Metromix's Susi Ulrey in this manner...

Acho Brother is currently working on a side project of sorts with painter & visual artist Gustavo Llenas from Dominican Republic and a documentary featuring music from Mijo de la Palma.
