Achtung Baby were formed in 1993.
Andy(Bono), Pete(Larry Mullen jnr), Richard(The Edge) and Dave(Adam Clayton). The band have been together for 12 years,Andy being the longest serving member. In 1995 Andy performed 'with or without you' on stars in their eyes presented by Matthew Kelly, which saw the beginning of Achtung Baby. A few local low key gigs were booked to test the water and we never anticipated how well it go from here on. As the band grew the audiences grew,t.v companies contacted us to perform acoustic sets for sky and the biggest reward was when were asked to perform live on BBC1,Battle Of The Fantasy Bands presented by Ulrika Johnson and Terry Wogan.We were voted by a live audience as the best sound alike band.The band has toured Europe with gigs in Holland,Germany,France then onto the channel islands and even further a field to Dubai.Our biggest crowds are always in the home land of Ireland the birth place of our mentors,U2.
At present the band is still working hard performing up and down the country to sell out crowds and we will look forward to performing with classics like Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride in The Name of Love,Bad,Still Haven't found, Where The Streets Have no name etc.
