After finding ourselves homeless for a few months, which seemed like an eternity! acii disco is now back as a weekly night in the basement club of Traffic on Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. The new venue is regarded by many as the perfect venue for acii, with the same low ceiling feeling as previous homes, the more intimate space and quality soundsystem have made us very pleased with our new surroundings and all looking forward to a successful future here. The music policy remains the same as always, it consists of a broad mix of Tech House, Acid, Minimal, Electro and Techno.

The end of 2007 also saw the introduction of Aciitone Digital, a digital label founded by rising producers Gavin Lynch, Al Keegan and Russell Cooney. With the label comprising of three sub labels – Red, Green and Blue and each offering a slightly different slant on electronic music you may find it hard to put Aciitone into any one box. The Red Label focuses on deeper sounds while the Green Label has peak time club action in mind. The Blue label then delves more into the experimental and acoustic side of things. A truly fresh idea that will ensure that qality no matter what style can prevail. In March, Aciitone Digital releases the second track from the green label, and it’s one that has been eagerly anticipated by revellers everywhere, the mighty Sourecode’s “McKenna”. It’s the fourth release by Aciitone in four months and with such consistancy its only a matter of time before they can hold their own amongst bigger labels. The package includes a remix from Dublin’s Matador and Belfast duo Sinister Industry wwho serve up a glitched out fidget bomb. It has been gaining much support from all corners of the globe and is one that’s sure to turn some heads. Other releases out now include tracks and remixes by Matador, Timmy Stewart, Perc, Sourcecode. With forthcoming tracks and remixes from heavy hitters Jet Project, Lutzenkirchen, Djamel, Kriece, Rory Hyland, Al Keegan, Milton Jackson and more, its definitely one to watch for 2008.
