If you choose to spend an evening with A City Invisible, you're sure to have a complete sensory experience. (And you'll be left craving a second experience…and a third, fourth, fifth…) It's not just a musical encounter. There is a lot to be said for being able to watch a band do what they do best, when they are completely devoted to improving each time. There is constant energy, and anyone in the same room is doing more than just watching a performance unfold. He or she becomes a complete part of the show, and an integral piece of the musical puzzle that makes every performance one you don't want to miss. ACI devotees are such for one or all of the following reasons: they know that the band loves when the crowd moves, sings, gets involved, that the group loves their fans and are always ready to talk to anyone, and most of all, because of the plain and simple reason that they are a great band..... ACI definitely pushes the boundaries of their genre by being more than just 'alternative rock,' more than just another local band, more than a bunch of guys with day jobs, who happen to like music. They're guys that love music, love playing music with each other, and who view music as their only priority. The band formed in 2005 when guitarists Jim and Greg and vocalist Guy began writing and practicing together . Although Guy left the band shortly thereafter, he later rejoined the group. Three years and a few line-up changes later, they have found musical bliss with John on bass and Billy on drums..... Their first self-titled EP was released in 2007. It showcased profoundly ACI's devotion to skillful songwriting and their catchy yet original sound. Their carefully crafted image draws attention not only to their sound but their friendly, easy-going attitudes on life and music. As Greg so eloquently put it, "We're simple guys." That you are, and if this is what it means to be simple, then please, never change. ACI continues to grow and expand their musical catalogue. Keep checking for a follow-up EP set to be released in 2008, featuring new songs and a new recording of "IFDM". .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... Aftermath @ the apple store .. .. .. .. .. ....
