"This is the kind of song that could really mess up your sleep pattern, just because it demands to be heard as soon as you get back from the disco, or before the blue of night yellows out into morning. But it is a beautiful way to start, and there's no way you could hear it and stay in bed. A Classic Education are another of my favourite new bands..." (The Torture Garden)
"..they are more epic, multi-layered and expansive. Or at least they are on the evidence of ‘Stay Son’, which would make for a truly classy and classic 7” single that you could surely file next to the likes of Arcade Fire and Decemberists with impunity. Quick, someone stump up the cash!" (Alistair Fitchett - www.tangents.co.uk)
"..With A Classic Education you are guaranteed atmosphere and a stateside approach to indie rock, which is both a pleasing and appetising template to adopt. ‘Victories At Night’ absorbs several fragments from Tapes ‘n Tapes ‘Manitoba’ and adds a rollicking vocal towards the end. It’s all very exciting, the start of something big." (mp3hugger.com)
"The band have a three song promo out at present and it's pretty stylish to say the least....the three songs on the demo are very atmospheric and have the air of grandeur about them. None more so than on Victories At Night which builds into a crescendo with resplendent vocals. Epic words for epic stuff!" (www.indie-mp3.co.uk/)
"A Classic Education are an extremely young and promising band. Their song "Stay, Son" has a near-epic grandeur which is wonderfully grounded by the vocal's indie scruffiness. Simply put, this is orchestral-pop that pulsates with an indie vibe." (sixeyes.blogspot.com)
"As always I'm completely lost when I try to describe what the music sounds like...Violins, pounding drums and a voice sounding like it could burst any second. It's grand, heartfelt and beautiful. After a few listen you'll love it and still hate it, because it constantly leaves you with a feeling that it's not even close to reaching its full potential. Potential is probably the keyword here....watch out for these guys!" (Hits In The Car blog)
"What is clear is that these passionate newcomers have earned a warm spot in my heart, with their earnest and spirited indie-pop. Their pneumatic orchestration and unfeigned sense of melodrama reminds me of some of the great ghosts of indie-past. Without any official releases yet, we are all waiting to see the great things that are bound to happen for this young band. They have already earned opening spots for indie rock sentinels, such as Modest Mouse and The Arcade Fire. It would seem that it is just a matter of time for A Classic Education. I’ll certainly be keeping a close eye on these fellas, you may want to do the same." (www.fangbear.com)
"Orchestral indie-pop fans, rejoice! A Classic Education to the rescue. After a one-off opening slot for The Arcade Fire earlier this month, in addition to the highest praise from well-respected blogs such as: Six Eyes, MP3 Hugger, & Tangents, I had no choice but to give Italy's ACE an open ear. Their sound is a sort of Built To Spill meets I'm From Barcelona meets Animal Collective hybrid, and I absolutely adore it." (The Music Slut - musicslut.blogspot.com)
"Expansive string-stroked grandiosity with their own introspective spectrality- Class of 08". (sweepingthenation.blogspot.com)
"The music’s quite dark and broody, and there’s an unironic, honestly-ambitious quality to the sound which I find myself enjoying." (Song, By Toad)

This is what's been missing from our life. Grammar, logic, rhetoric, astronomy, arithmetic, music, & geometry rolled into a ball for an evening drive on a country road...and then a sasquach jumps in your path and changes the question.
