When I first got my driver's license, the first words on my Indiana's drivers manual said in uppercase, bold text: "DRIVING IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT!" Yes, you do not have the right to get a driver's license. And that license can be taken away from you by the state for a wide variety of reasons.
VOTING IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT!
Now, sadly, you need to get a driver's license (or state ID card) in order to exercise your RIGHT to vote in an election. Who needs a poll tax when you can charge $20 or more to make a potential voter get a damn driver's license they don't need just so they can VOTE!

This is pathetic, folks. We're getting back to the days of the Chinese Newspaper Test! Forget the effect this will have on the poor minority communities. Imagine the older Americans who have stopped driving and no longer have (or can even get) driver's licenses! Or what about someone who's driver's license has been suspended for some reason.
The website is up and running, and we need content. The blogs are open to everyone to post in, just create an account on www.recreate99.org (website, not myspace page!) and post away.
