LAST YEAR SAW SOME OF EUROPES FINEST PLAYERS TAKE TO THE STAGE AT DOLANS,AND WITH NO EXCEPTION,THE STANDARD THIS YEAR IS JUST AS HIGH.
SEVEN DAYS,EIGHT ARTISTS,SEVEN WORKSHOPS.IN KEEPING WITH THE FESTIVAL TRADITION,EVERY DAY WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT THEME TO IT,CLASSICAL,JAZZ,FINGERSTYLE AND PERCUSSIVE PLAYING TO NAME BUT A FEW OF THE STYLES.
THIS YEAR THE FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE FROM THE 18TH-24TH OF AUGUST,UPSTAIRS IN THE SUPERB SETTINGS OF DOLANS,DOCK ROAD LIMERICK.
"ANDY MC KEE AND DON ROSS"GET THE FESTIVAL UNDER WAY ON THE 18TH.TUES SEES "BRIDGET MERMIKIDES".WEDS PLAYS HOST TO "JOHN GOLDIE".THURS THE STAGE IS SET FOR "ADRIAN LEGG". FRIDAY BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND "STUART RYAN".SATURDAY PICKING WITH "BARRY BARNES AND SUNDAY FINGERSTYLE WITH "JAY MITCHELL".
EVERYDAY AT 6pm THE "VISITING" ARTIST WILL HOST A 2 HOUR WORKSHOP(open to the public)IN HIS OR HER STYLE OF EXPERTISE.
