Acoustic Highway a great mix of originals & their own unique way of playing cover tunes. This is an acoustic group where the focus is on the harmonic blending of the vocals. Each artist has their own unique style in the writing and performing of each song.
Rick & Joanne Calhoun married, teamed with Jim Rust for Rogue 2005. After blending so well on vocals they thought to give it more time. They joined forces as a trio. In 2007 the trio was fortunate to meet up with a GREAT bass player, Mike Alexander, who also liked harmony.
Now in search of a drummer part time/full time, to see if they can take it to the next level. They need a tasteful drummer that isn't trying to be the lead instrument in the band, but to enhance their already solid harmonies.
With 2 CD's to their credit, Gypsy Moon & Joker & Lady Luck. Both produced by Roger Perry. Gypsy Moon is a down to basics Acoustic Vocal Album. With the exception of Roger Perry adding his brand of gypsy guitar.
Joker & Lady Luck is another story, with drums, percussion, guest guitarists, harmonica, and bass. Took the band to another level of wanting to find a percussion player or drummer.
Roger Perry plays on this album as well as Steve Kuykendall, Jeff Hallock, and of course Mike Alexander.
They are talking album 3 possibly a live rendition of originals as well as a few covers. Stay tuned for upcoming shows, albums, and songs.
