in fact everyone at Halo
we could go on...
InfluencesWell it starts with a rhythm and the sound of a voice
and where we go from there is a matter of choice?
sometimes it works that way for us
sometimes it doesn't fit
but the chiming an' the rhyming
are the essence of it
so no matter where we travel
and no matter where we roam
with a beat and a pulse we're far never from Home
Sounds LikeA great night out!! hours of entertainment from Open Mic performers of poetry, music, magic and whatever else you bring us. Guest artists on a regular basis.

A Brighton Wow and an International Whoopee

Wowee Monday 15th June Brighton-based poet and MC, Rosy Carrick's gleeful eccentricity cannot help but disturb. Forceful, sexy and tenderly absurd.
Finally check out Monday June 29. We have booked four top poets direct from Glastonbury thanks to Helen Gregory. Cat Kidd from Canada - Drea Chuma from Botswana - The Poetry Chicks from Ireland. It promises to be an amazing night of International Poetry. Musical interlude and muddy Glasto socks raffle. Be warned! It will sell out... admission is still only £5 but it's gets full quick! If you are going to Glasto you could maybe help by giving a lift to Bristol to one or two of our guests, yeah.

Hola Acoustic Night

I'm back from my travels and have a gig at The Louisiana on Monday Night (27th) which starts about 8pm, if anyone would like to attend. Plus it's FREE!

Hope all is well!?

Hey Andi,
How are you on this rather gloomy day? I'm seemingly happy for some reason. I just got back from tescos and I'm making carrot soup, hmmm happy soup. I'm just checking that I have a ticket for this super event on Friday...and could I reserve another? That is, if there are any left. I want to bring someone.
I could come and see you tomorrow morning/afternoon if you're around for tea chatter and cash exchange? xxxxx

P.S. What's the ska scene like in Bristol do you know? Bombskare just launched their first album, wondering what the good venues are for music in your neck of the world? Mid level 300-600 capacity with a good rep and regular crowd kind of thing.

Thanks for another great night, but never let me try to play Country Boy on my own again! I'll bring some easier stuff next time and will get it right. It is a very useful learning tool though, to let me know what I can and can't do reliably without warming up and in front of an audience.

Cheers,

Dan
