What a Year 2008!! Thank you to every one We would like to thank all the members of Acoustic Night Live and supporters for making this venue the best kept secret in the South West. The support for the local artists who bare there souls performing each month is a constant reminder to the ANL team that we are doing the right thing. We have had established and legendary performers play this year and give us such positive comments about the venue, staff and local support bands that again we are over the moon. Miles Hunt, Ian Mcnabb, Kirk Brandon, John Power, Martin Stephenson and Paul Handyside we love you to!
Big things are already being planned for next year for Acoustic Night Live and we hope you will all join us. Big names and the best in local talent each month are guarenteed, become a member now for only £3 and be assured you will be the first to know.
The night is run by Lee Brownson and Dave Hampson. We could never organise and run the event without the incredible support from our family and friends. Steve Brownson runs the Facebook and MySpace sites and is in constant contact with the artists who wish to play. Rod Goodman, Ivor Morgan, Elaine Hampson, Beaz, Jer Holland our own 'country gent' compere and many more contribute their time, talent and effort to the nights. All the people that contribute to the night do so for the love of all music and to bring local talent out and reach a wider audience.
We started back in July 2007 with the idea to book Ian Mcnabb to play at the White Hart a local tavern. Ian Mcnabb is the front man to 80s pop/rock gods, The Icicle Works and we eventually got him signed up to play on September 1st 2007.
We had already organised 2 Acoustic nights and this was the icing on the cake.
We intend to book more special guests to play on the Acoustic Nights and are looking at several performers right now for 2009.. watch this space
The night is for any music fan to come along and play or just sit, have a drink and LISTEN, be appreciative to the artists playing and give them support. In return we promise new talent showcased alongside more established local talent. We are also promoting the White Hart as an acoustic touring venue and will be taking bookings and actively booking established names this coming year.
so please come along and bring your friends to support your local artists.
Entrance only £2.00
Instruments are available on the night to use and with the night being in association with BAROQUE & ROLL MUSIC located in Cinderford's High Street, we have the backing of Paul and Andrea Del Nevo the wonderful, supportive owners.
We also would like to thank Paul and Sharon Cinderey who own the White Hart Inn for their support and letting us set the whole night up.
"If you build it, they will play..."
