NEWS: Due to Robert's work commitments, holidays and needing a bit of time to sort out our own music, we are going to be taking a break from Acoustic Scarborough for a while after Fragile and Tom Devonport.
We will be back in the Autumn and we have lots of back recordings still to pod cast so keep looking in on the page

Acoustic Scarborough is a biweekly chance for acoustic musicians to perform in an intimate setting. All acoustic musicians are welcome and the format is a couple of local musicians followed by a featured artist.

The venue is small and private, located above the The New Tavern pub in Falsgrave, Scarborough, it has good PA and lends itself perfectly to acoustic music. For the audience its a chance to hear up close new acoustic music.

We are encouraging musicians who write and perform there own songs but no style police just one rule "acoustic rules".

8th June 2008 - Fragile
Mark and Sally are based in North Yorkshire they have been playing together for about two years, although they were both in various bands for many years before meeting and forming 'Fragile' They are both singer song writers and both play various instruments. Their material is all original with an acoustic feel to it.

In Support will be a welcome return of Tom Devonport.

We will be pod-casting the shows - we are really excited about this and it has cost us personally so we hope others find us and are as enthusiastic as we are. We hope this will encourage many fine musicians to Scarborough as part of their promotion of CD's and tours etc. We have been inspired to do this by the success of Acoustic Long Island. Its an ambition to try and emulate the 4 million downloads of Acoustic Long Island. It can only be good for the acoustic community.

At the moment entrance is free to all!!!! If you would like to play GET IN TOUCH.

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act.  The band is currently looking for gigs from August 2009 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

hey there, Acoustic Scarborough!

well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!

to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.

we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.

anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com

I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!

please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!

peace from Atlanta, Georgia, USA,

J.A. Etchison
