The ACOUSTIC SHADOWS BAND
Erik Rozite- Singer Song Writer,
Erik grew up in Milwaukee, remembering the Violent Femmes playing on the corner where he lived on the east side. Rozite played in a few local bands. Safari 69 was the most fun he says.
They did about 50% covers and the rest originals. At that time he played bass, sang and wrote. Most of the tunes were hard rock with a twist. It has been about 17 years since Erik Rozite was in a band last. In May of 2006 he purchased a 12 string Ric and just started writing down ideas. One week after the band was formed they opened up at the Brookdale Lodge for Pat Travers with a warm reception, so they decided to keep this ..Acoustic Shadows.. project going. Eriks personal objective or goal is to be able to open up for Neil Young. All the songs are Eriks basic ideas initially and then they get transformed into a raw energetic sometimes psychedelic sound with the talent of Tim Sanz and Brent Wilkins- lead guitars and Paul Stevens - Drums, and Bill (Shadow Man) Shaw on Bass. Lately they have been playing with Wendy Wilkins on several songs who plays flute that and has given their slower songs more dimension...Also a member of the fabulous "Drool Pigs"..................................................................................................
Tim Sanz-Guitarist,
Grandfathers he never met, Violinist Silversmith moms side,
dads side; Sax player Blacksmith. So needless to say metal and music were in his blood early on in family. Mr. Sanz plays Flute, Harmonica, Drums, Piano, Guitar and Bass. Now a Sound Engineer at several of the Santa Cruz nightclubs (Don Quixote's Felton Ca. Brookdale Lodge Ca. & The Attic Ca.).........................................................................................................
Paul Stevens- Drums,
Paul has played in a variety of musical projects with various Santa Cruz area bands. He plays hand percussion and traps with Amy Obenski in her folk-rock band. He played with the local Celtic group "Whiskey in the Jar" and is now pleased to return to more straight-ahead rock and roll...........................................................................................................
Bill Shaw - Bass Player- ...more info to come

Brent Wilkins - lead Guitar .....more music and info to come
An acoustic shadow occurs when sound that would normally be heard is blocked. This can happen because the sound is absorbed by some material, or refracted when it meets a warm or rapidly moving layer of air. The refraction can not only bounce the sound away from a location but it can also direct it to another location where it would not normally carry. In these ways an acoustic shadow is to sound what a mirage is to light.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
